Glitter 02:49
Cheerleader says she won't admit to being prettier than anybody else. She has a lot of friends who listen to her breathe and think she's full of all this glitter that they love. And I can remember all the time before you wore this crown; bleeding in the hallway when somebody knocked you down. And don’t you think the others can’t remember, ‘cause they can… even as they’re sitting in the palm of your hand. Cheerleader says she won’t admit to being popular, ‘cause everybody else seems to know it. And I know she has a lot of friends who listen to her breathe and wish they had some of this glitter that they love. Robbie Gennet © Brown Earthling Music All Rights Reserved

Swimming in the fire, I saw you watching from below. Placing my desire on the open shore I cleared a path to go. And when I looked around, no one was beside me. And when I hit the ground, you sent an angel down to spread my wings so I could fly away, so I could fly away. The eyes in time disguise the lies but still the brain is hypnotized by fate. And what do you think about it? Prepare the soul and dig the hole, insert yourself with no control, it’s great. And maybe you don’t escape because you don’t believe in heaven and everyone’s out to get you anyway. Staring at the sun, I saw you shooting like a star. Raising both my hands in an open pose, I wondered who you are. Swimming in the fire, I saw you. Robbie Gennet © Brown Earthling Music All Rights Reserved

Learn 03:54
Give me your hand; I know you can’t save me. I know it feels good when you try. I‘ve got a friend named love and she’d raise me up when I need to say goodbye. Gentle the one I know she goes slowly. You are the one to like it, I know. You’ve got a lot of things that have gone missing. Everyone is right, but they don’t have the sight to see the way you love me, I know I say everyone is wanting to stay away. You’ve got a lot to learn about anyway. You’ve got the thing I need. You know everything that I like is real to me. I know a place where you can go that you won’t find me there to comfort you. Secret the one I know she got something; she is the one I’d like to know. When we are old we know we’ve got nothing. Everyone is right, but they don’t have the sight to see the way you love me, I know I say everyone is wanting to stay away You’ve got a lot to learn about anyway. But she loves me more than anyone, sees I’m not like everyone, loves me, you know I’m the one. I’m the one. I see the way you love me, I know I say everyone is wanting to stay away You’ve got a lot to learn about anyway. Robbie Gennet © Brown Earthling Music All Rights Reserved

Empty 03:27
Put me in a cage, lock me up, throw away the key; It’s the only way to save myself from me. Only when looking back does everything fall into place; a timeless wheel, a carousel, spinning. But you know sometimes it’s better being all empty; you find out quickly just what fills you up inside. I can’t help thinking that you love me, still, I wonder why sometimes. You’re so lucky; you didn’t fall too far from grace. I had a long way to go down. The bottom doesn’t seem so far away when you’re lying on the floor. You cast no shadow on the ground. But you know sometimes it’s better being all empty; you find out quickly just what fills you up inside. I can’t help thinking that you love me, still, I wonder why sometimes. I want to let you know I was too late to save myself from you, but you know now: You are the star that shines on everyone like a million suns. But you know sometimes it’s better being all empty; you find out quickly just what fills you up inside. I can’t help thinking that you love me, still, I wonder why sometimes. I Know 04:42
I know that you want me to let go, and I try to make it seem so. You say that you want me to go away, and it hurts so very much when we touch but that’s why I stay. Hold on to your rose ‘til it rots; you’re tying my tongue up in knots. And when I go, I’ll miss you so, but I can’t seem to figure out just what went wrong… so I get along. You see right through me. And I find that I can’t be the man that you need. And when you and I have to start again, I’ll miss the sweet embrace of your kiss and the touch of my friend and lover. Wrong 05:06
The monkey face took tea with a yellow lemon and watched the window down the hall. And all my friends here now are roaches, but they don‘t talk to me at all; and too many times, I’ve been alone. And so I wrote the ode to being lonely and so I held my breath for far too long and so I never found someone who can show me I can be wrong. The silver pig grew bigger than a roman candle and burned the curtains down the hall. And all my friends here now are vultures, but they won’t want me ‘til I fall; and too many times, I’ve stumbled. And so I wrote the ode to being lonely and so I held my breath for far too long and so I never found someone who can show me I can be wrong. And whatever happened to taking it slow? In the middle of a lame reaction, staying up ‘til the midnight show. Or standing by the telephone for a midnight call to anyone but me and it set me free. The junkieman took a needle in a yellow temple and dropped his body down the hall. And all my friends here now are strangers, and they don’t answer when I call; and too many times, they pass me by. And so I wrote the ode to being lonely and so I held my breath for far too long and so I never found someone who can show me I can be wrong. Robbie Gennet © Brown Earthling Music All Rights Reserved

Candyapple 02:55
Don’t these emotions seem real? Is it the touch or the feel of my skin? I don’t think she was into this life; so Candy ate the apple and committed to the knife. What have you done with your time? How many holes did they find in your skin? Lucky clover drained the color, it was white; So Candy ate the apple and committed to the knife. I never reached you; you must have been down with a candycane. But you’ve got your reasons for letting go. And I’ll never leave you; nobody’s ever chosen to be different, and you’re the one. And you’ll never know. Don’t these emotions seem real? Is it the touch or the feel of my skin? I don’t think she was into this life; so Candy ate the apple and committed to the knife. Fine 02:58
Where are the caves where they’re stashing the gold? Where they are going, it never gets cold. Some operator broke in on the line and said, “Everyone’s dead, but you are gonna be fine.” I told the doctor about my disease, I said, “When you are near me, I am weak at the knees.” Sometimes it hurts, but it’s good every time; when you’re feeling the pain, you know it’s gonna be fine. Give up your mind and you may as well die, but to waste it yourself is the ultimate crime. Sometimes in life, you just have to decide that it’s all up to you to say that everything’s fine. The world’s in change, and you better be ready to fight the forces that make you so unsteady. It hasn’t happened for the longest of times, but now you’re feeling the love, and you are gonna be fine. Goodbye 03:21
Old man with a dog in the road has a name and he’s a beautiful sight to behold; sleeps in a cardboard box in the rain. And he’s old enough to know better, and he’s old enough to die. Given any reason, he never can say goodbye. Old man with a scar on his nose has a face and it’s a beautiful sight to behold; sleeps on the street in the very same place. And he’s old enough to know better, and he’s old enough to die. Given any reason, he never can say goodbye. The dog only has one trick and it’s not a very good one. He knows that the old man’s sick and he’s thinking that he should run but he can't. A young man with stars in his eyes had a dream; it was a beautiful sight to behold. Everybody said he was ripped at the seams. And he’s old enough to know better, and he’s old enough to die. Given any reason, he never can say goodbye. Old man with a dog in the road has a name. Monsters 05:10
Peter Pan and comic books; earthworms and fishing hooks don’t get along like soldier boys and the Vietcong. And Spiderman wears pantyhose. Where can I get a pair of those to wear when I’m in bed with my pillow on my head? I checked under the bed to look for monsters there. I’m home from school; my teacher said that I couldn’t pay attention. It’s not my fault; I said she didn’t have to keep me for detention. And when I try to explain, there are these voices in my head and they all echo in my brain. And they say no one understands me, so I run away I won’t come back, I don’t need you, I got my true friends right here. Peter Criss & music mags; gasoline & flaming rags don’t get along like Motorhead & a country song. And Superman wears pantyhose. Where can I get a pair of those to wear when I’m in bed with my pillow on my head? And I checked under the bed to look for monsters there. I’m in control; my doctor said that I need my medication. I’m tuning in, but all I hear is what is playing on my station. And when I stare into space, there are these visions that I see that I’m not able to erase. But sometimes all the kids just laugh and so I run away I won’t come back, I don’t need them, I got my true friends right here. Peter North & porno mags; toddlers & plastic bags don’t get along like NYC and old King King. And sometimes men wear pantyhose. Where can I get a pair of those to wear when I’m in bed with my pillow on my head? And I checked under the bed to look for monsters there. You may not think I’m acting cool, but that’s cool with me. And you may not see who I wanna be with. Superman & comic books; Altar boys & dirty looks don’t get along like Jesus Christ and a three-foot bong. And Peter Pan wears pantyhose. Where can I get a pair of those to wear when I’m in bed with a pillow on my head? And I checked under the bed to look for monsters there. Robbie Gennet © Brown Earthling Music All Rights Reserved
